So there’s something going on,” he said. “It’s affected me in a bad way because it’s just not good to see on the beach.” He said he will keep documenting the dead wildlife he sees, hoping it’ll somehow help. “How many have to…

Prof: ‘college campuses are not free speech areas’

NEWS you can use!!

Mountain Republic

“College campuses are not free speech areas. Do you understand? Obviously you don’t understand.”

A Fresno State University professor was recently caught on camera scrubbing pro-life message off of the sidewalk and encouraging several of his students to do the same.

“The whole idea of free speech is that we have a free speech area on campus, kay?” Professor Gregory Thatcher erroneously declares in a video recorded by the school’s Students for Life chapter. “Free speech is free speech in the free speech area. It’s a pretty simple concept, okay? This does not constitute a free speech area, okay?”

He and his “students” go on to argue that it is within their own First Amendment rights to actively remove the pro-life messages from campus, and in one instance Thatcher claims that since the pro-life group has “permission to put it down” he has “permission to get rid of it.”

Schweizer calls for independent audit of Kushner finances

The author of the best-selling book that revealed alleged pay-for-play schemes during Hillary Clinton’s time as secretary of state is sounding the alarm about Jared Kushner’s ties to liberal bankroller George Soros and Goldman Sachs.

“Clinton Cash” author and Breitbart News editor Peter Schweizer said in a radio interview that Kushner’s ties to Soros — who funds a network of left-wing activists — as well as his billion-dollar loans, both of which he failed to include in his financial disclosure forms, present a “massive, massive problem” for the White House. Schweizer called for an independent audit of Kushner’s finances, which he said likely contain similar bombshells.

Schweizer expressed similar concern over the opacity of Kushner’s political views — which the adviser has kept close to his vest — and said the president should let the public “lift the hood up from the car and see…

There’s NEVER been a better time to switch to LINUX

Hacking tools allegedly used by the National Security Agency were leaked online early Friday by the group known as “The Shadow Brokers.”

The mysterious entity, which last August also released a large cache of tools purportedly stolen from “the Equation Group,” an elite hacking team believed to be NSA, published it’s most substantial material yet by exposing powerful exploits against Microsoft Windows systems and targeted banks in the Middle East.

The dump, deemed “the most damaging” for the NSA since Edward Snowden by computer security expert Nicholas Weaver, includes numerous tools that utilize unknown exploits, or “zero days,” against every Windows operating system prior to version 10.

One tool, known as FUZZBUNCH, is causing concern among cybersecurity experts given it’s ability to automate the creation and deployment of NSA malware.

UN Child Sex Ring Left Victims But No Arrests

News you can use!

Mountain Republic

In the ruins of a tropical hideaway where jetsetters once sipped rum under the Caribbean sun, the abandoned children tried to make a life for themselves. They begged and scavenged for food, but they never could scrape together enough to beat back the hunger, until the U.N. peacekeepers moved in a few blocks away.

The men who came from a far-away place and spoke a strange language offered the Haitian children cookies and other snacks. Sometimes they gave them a few dollars. But the price was high: The Sri Lankan peacekeepers wanted sex from girls and boys as young as 12.

“I did not even have breasts,” said a girl, known as V01 — Victim No. 1. She told U.N. investigators that over the next three years, from ages 12 to 15, she had sex with nearly 50 peacekeepers, including a “Commandant” who gave her 75 cents. Sometimes she slept…

Stop the Yulin Dog Meat Festival in China Permanently!

HELP STOP THIS!!!

Help Stop the Yulin Dog Meat Festival

This festival is cruel and hideous. It started in 2010 and has no religious or ceremonial value. The dogs are beaten and then skinned alive — crying out in agony as people cheer on the butchers. Then the poor creatures are fed to people all over the city.
I consider my dogs as family members, and would do anything to protect them. Anyone who has ever had a dog knows how sensitive, loyal, loving and trusting dogs are.
It’s time to STOP the Yulin Dog Meat Festival permanently!

Connecticut considering weaponizing drones

And you thought “1984” had passed? Think again….

Mountain Republic

Connecticut lawmakers are considering whether the state should become the first in the country to allow police to use drones outfitted with deadly weapons, a proposal immediately met with concern by civil rights and liberties advocates.

The bill would ban the use of weaponized drones, but exempt police. Details on how law enforcement could use drones with weapons would be spelled out in new rules to be developed by the state Police Officer Standards and Training Council. Officers also would have to receive training before being allowed to use drones with weapons.

“Obviously this is for very limited circumstances,” said Republican state Sen. John Kissel, of Enfield, co-chairman of the Judiciary Committee that approved the measure Wednesday and sent it to the House of Representatives. “We can certainly envision some incident on some campus or someplace where someone is a rogue shooter or someone was kidnapped and you try to…
