I believe what many of the offenders have in common is Islam. I mentioned this to a friend today and the first word out of his mouth was “Islam.” Christian countries got out of the slave business more than a hundred years ago.
People using “religion” as a justifiable reason to do what they do has been going on a long time. Sadly, it hard to eliminate the hijackers once they get started. But it can and will be done.
And it will be done when common decency and moral compass are “true” again.
Of course “political correctness” may serve to extend the suffering. And politicians will again prove why they should have limited role in life….
